MiDAS & PATS TRAINING

MiDAS for Mini Bus Drivers

We offer both Standard and Accessible MiDAS training, depending on your preferences. Standard courses will accommodate a fully seated minibus, while Accessible courses refer to vehicles that enable wheelchair use or other specialist equipment.

MiDAS courses involve a theory session and a multiple choice assessment on what you have learned - this usually takes around half a day. If you drive or are looking to drive an accessible minibus, this will be followed by an additional practical and theory session. Finally, you will be assessed on your ability to use your minibus' accessible features correctly, ensuring the safety of your passengers.
All minibus drivers will also have their on-road driving assessed by one of our experienced team members. Once you have attended all sessions and passed all aspects of our course, we will be happy to issue you a MiDAS certificate.

PATS for Passenger Assistance

Alongside our MiDAS training courses we also offer accessible training, allowing you to assist wheelchair users, and passenger assistant training courses. As a minibus driver, it is your duty to care for all passengers, and our PATS training course will allow you to do just that.

Our PATS course works on a modular basis meaning you or your organisation can conveniently select the modules that are most appropriate for your needs. Modules include assisting passengers with disabilities, children with special needs and adults who require specialist supervision. For more information about the specific modules we offer, please get in touch with our team.
