Course Description

This course is underpinning a driver's current core strengths, knowledge and skills to achieve outstanding performance, looking at all areas in which may have been over looked or forgotten. More specifically, the knowledge identifies what a driver needs to know to perform the work in an informed and effective manner. Helping them to understand the importance of their role when completing a walk around check and also their morally and legal obligations.

We look at the roles of the DVSA, and how they impact upon all drivers, from enforcement to legal action for anyone who fails in their duties. We look at the key areas, and the common mistakes when completing a walk around check, emphasising the importance of a pre shift check before they move off. The Paperwork or PDA's used, how to complete defect reporting documentation and using the new PDA systems that are currently available.
